Full Stack Web Developer for Educational Technology  

General Summary

• Develops web applications in an education setting
• Helps in the team’s overall effort in the maintenance and operation of educational technology tools for a smooth user experience

Major Duties

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Serves as the highest level of problem escalation for teaching and learning tools, and in-house developed applications
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build the front-end of applications through appealing visual design
• Develop and manage well-functioning databases and applications
• Write effective APIs
• Test software to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot, debug and upgrade software
• Create security and data protection settings
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Write technical documentation
• Work on a product roadmap to continuously improve software

• Degree in Computer Science, IT, or similar disciplines
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Developer
• Knowledge of Cloud Computing, VCS, and DevOps
• Knowledge of front-end languages and libraries (e.g., HTML/ CSS, JavaScript, ReactJS)
• Knowledge of back-end languages and frameworks (PHP(Angular/Symfony), Python), REST API
• Knowledge of databases (e.g., MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g., Apache) and UI/UX design
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Great attention to detail, organizational skills, and an analytical mind
