Business Analyst  

The Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for analyzing existing systems for improvement, recommend new system processes and keep detailed reports of all structural and process changes. He/she will prepare needs assessments and cost-benefit analysis to align the technology of the company with business strategies.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Work with customers to gather and document business requirements and functional specifications using standard documents that developers, engineers and testers will use to ensure IT solutions meet their needs
• Provide support for IT groups by gathering requirements, and coordinating the implementation of new applications, system, reports and business processes
• Assist in the analysis and implementation of technology and process improvements and reporting needs within the scope of current expertise
• Write flowcharts, UML diagrams and use cases to illustrate business requirements, data flows, DB schemas and third-party integration
• Perform impact analysis on system change requests and exceptions
• Acts as SME (subject matter expert) for a number of critical applications/solutions
• Examine process impact and dependencies based on the required changes in an application or system
• Prepare and review test case scripts and suites, test data and all required system documentation
• Determine completeness of application/solution and facilitate UAT
• Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
• Report and escalate to management as needed
• Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation across all stages of the projects
• Conduct application training and provide support to other departments as required Customer/Client demand

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 3 years of working experience in the related fields is required for this position.
• Must have experience as a software developer, preferably working in the following languages: .NET, PHP, Java & SQL Server
• Strong system and business analysis experience
• Extensive experience providing presentations to business heads and department heads
• Experience in developing and analyzing project business needs
• Experience in the analysis of process flows, inputs and outputs
• Must be conversant with systems development lifecycle principles
• Must have excellent oral and written English communication skills
• Must possess a positive attitude while operating under pressure, and be an independent problem-solver
• Solid organizational, analytical and planning skills, including attention to detail and multi-tasking
• Strong team player in a high-performance team
• Willing to render up to 20% travel time to different offices throughout the year.
