General Accountant

As a General Accountant, you will be responsible for the following but not limited to:

• Provide management with regular performance results, both on financial and operating (Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss Statement, Cash Flow Statement and Changes in Equity)
• Provide variance (month on month, quarter to quarter and year on year) analyses on financial data
• Consolidate warehouse inventory of materials, supplies, and costs; reconciles with general and subsidiary account balances
• Process payable vouchers for general and administrative charges and statement of accounts (utility charges, payroll, govt contributions, and taxes among others)
• Ensure completeness and availability of payment vouchers and journal vouchers for internal and audit reference
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness in recording financial transactions
• Ensure completeness and validity of supporting documents to payment vouchers and journal vouchers
• Ensure completeness of entries in the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers
• Prepare the bank reconciliation statements
• Prepare the Statement of Accounts to customers; bill the customers and ensure collection on time
• Ensure the filing of tax returns (monthly, quarterly and annually)
• Ensure remittance of government contributions on time (SSS, HDMF, PHIC)
• Verify financial data before recording to the books of accounts or encoding to an automated financial system, if applicable
• Accrual of utility charges; closes the same at year end.
• Provide accounting support in the charting of accounts and in the development of a complete financial management system
• Answer queries concerning financial data reported to management
• Accomplish tasks in accordance with the overall goal and mission of the Company

• CPA is highly preferred but not required;
• 3-5 years of work experience in Telecommunications, Tower Construction, or Construction industry is highly preferred;
• Knowledgeable on Philippine Reporting Standards;
• Knowledgable on the full cycle of bookkeeping and reporting financial data to both management and government bodies;
• Time Management, Attention to Detail, Confidentiality;
• Experience using Quickbooks a huge advantage;
• Excellent in Verbal and Written Communication;
• Strong analytical and planning skills;
• Willing to be assigned in BGC Taguig with fully onsite work set-up
