Back End Developer | Temporary Work From Home  

The work:

• Assists in the design, coding, and configuration of web service applications
• Participates in testing and debugging of applications
• Assists in the deployment and documentation of applications
• Assists in gathering business requirements and translating them into technical specifications
• Adheres to specific development best practices and quality standards
• Works under close supervision and guidance

Here’s what you’ll need:

Junior Level

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Systems or other related courses. Undergraduates are welcome to apply.
• Must have at least 1 - 2 years of work experience in back-end development.
• Exposure to a formal working environment with experience in any of the following: Java, Node.js, C, C++, Groovy
• Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs
• Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodology and practices.
• Strong communication skills to work with clients and counterparts
• Familiarity with common design patterns and an understanding of how they can be applied to software development.
• Basic debugging and optimization skills

Senior Level

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Systems or other related courses.
• Must have at least 3 - 5 years of work experience in back-end development.
• Exposure to a formal working environment with experience in any of the following: Java, Node.js, C, C++, Groovy
• Solid knowledge of RESTful APIs
• Strong communication skills to work with clients and counterparts
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Experience in Agile and Scrum methodology and practices
• Experience working with various design patterns, and the ability to identify the appropriate pattern for a given problem.
• Proven experience leading a team or mentoring junior developers

Lead Level

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Information Systems or other related courses.
• Must have at least 5+ years of work experience in back-end development.
• Exposure to a formal working environment with experience in any of the following: Java, Node.js, C, C++, Groovy
• Extensive knowledge of RESTful APIs
• Strong communication skills to work with clients and counterparts
• Excellent debugging and optimization skills
• Experience in Agile and Scrum methodology and practices
• Proven experience leading teams and projects, and ability to take on complex problems and find solutions quickly
• Proven experience in designing and implementing complex systems using various design patterns, with a deep understanding of the trade-offs and best practices associated with each pattern. Ability to mentor and guide junior team members in the application of design patterns.

Bonus points if you have:

• Familiarity with web security vulnerabilities and mitigation techniques
• Experience with web security best practices and technologies
• Ability to design and implement secure back-end systems
