Job Description

The Account Director will be taking overall responsibility for the successful development and management of all digital clients. He/she must have advanced knowledge of all digital channels: paid, owned, earned and shared. The other big focus is New Business opportunities; alongside the Head of Digital, the Account Director is to ensure that we’re working on the hottest leads that play to our strengths and that we are converting the leads. It’s also necessary that any candidate being put forward has strong exposure to data and analytics and/or performance marketing.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the strategy, analytics, account, creative, PR and paid media teams to ensure we are delivering the smartest work to clients
  • Proactively develop ideas, strategic proposals and presentations aimed at driving client business forward and converting prospects
  • Work to understand and communicate client’s business/brand goals and competitive landscape, ensuring all project elements are on strategy for brand and deliver messaging
  • Lead the development of client proposals, reports and RFPs
  • Work with project team leaders to ensure efficiencies, and maximize client relationships, account revenue and business
  • Assist the Head of Digital in developing a clear annual plan for the development of each account
  • Work with the Head of Digital to make sure each account has the correct level of resource allocated to it
  • Lead client teams to properly scope and budget specific projects, helping to drive project profitability and revenue growth
  • Support teams in their daily management of their projects, providing creative problem solving for complex challenges
  • Understand overall needs of specific client projects: operations, production, staffing, etc.
  • Encourage and nurture creativity and act as a role model and mentor to inspire individuals to deliver excellence

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a digital advertising/marketing agency, working on multinational brands
  • Ability to clearly explain and summarize information (oral and written) in English
  • An expert-level understanding of digital marketing, branding, business strategy and communications
  • Digitally and socially sophisticated, and embraces video-centric thinking in media
  • You’re data literate – you know what numbers matter and how to tell a compelling story with them
  • Thorough knowledge of the dynamics of channels – how each media element performs alone, how they perform together and how they are constantly changing
  • A passion for culture, trends and motivations in consumer behavior
  • Your finger is on the pulse of culture, technology and design
  • You are always two steps ahead and help persuade your clients to do what’s right by proposing actionable solutions to their toughest brand challenges
  • You know how an insight differs from an observation, how a strategy differs from tactics, and how ideas differ from executions
  • Ability to write clear, inspirational briefs, presentations and proposals
  • Be confident at presenting both strategic ideas and creative work
  • Understands media across all stages (planning, buying, measurement and optimization)
  • Understands common media principles (GRPs, Impressions, Reach/Frequency, ad wearout, SOV/SOM, ROI)
  • Experience or knowledge of changing digital space (programmatic buying, DMPs, viewability, on-target rates, tagging, etc.)
  • Experience with and/or ability to learn industry tools and reports, e.g. Nielsen, comScore, Brandwatch, etc.
