Head of Analytics  

Zenius Education is the pioneer for Education Technology (EdTech) in Indonesia since 2004, founded by teachers passionate about learning, problem-solving, and establishing strong foundations on scientific thinking. From our early beginnings releasing DVDs, to launching a website in 2010, we developed a strong following for our educational content through our teaching methods.

We have now released our powerful content library of more than 74,000 videos into our mobile app in June 2019, and the company has just received seed funding from investors. We are about to embark on a hyper-growth phase to accelerate great learning outcomes for K-12 students in Indonesia.

We are looking for a Head of Analytics who is passionate about numbers, research, and data in the education sector, with at least 5 years of experience leading a research/analytics team in an app-based or digital company. The Head of Analytics is responsible for identifying and measuring all the necessary metrics, making sure the quality and timeliness of project deliveries and internal R&D are always on par and consult the Management Team with data-driven recommendations.

What You Will Be Doing:

• Be responsible and accountable for the quality and timeliness of the project deliveries, resource management, technical support for team members and communication of the progress to the CEO.
• Providing support and advice to the CEO with data-driven recommendations related to the organization’s strategy and objectives achievements
• Manage day-to-day operations in the Analytics team alongside Researchers, including prioritization, project assignment, project pipeline, workload management, and risk management.
• Providing technical leadership and support to other team members through organized training sessions, ad hoc project advice and support on making technical decisions.
• Development of the Analytics team, including recruitment to fill the vacancies, supervising induction program for new team members, and driving training and development of technical skills within the team
• Lead the Analytics team, including performance management and evaluation, held regular 1-to-1 meetings to discuss workload and personal development
• Building and maintaining strong relationships internally and externally in order to facilitate Analytics’ involvement with projects across all business areas and the development of new analytical project opportunities.

Who Is Our Ideal Candidate:

• Must have had at least 5 years of working experience in a data analyst or data warehousing position, preferably working as a Senior Data Analyst in a fast-paced and complex business setting.
• Proven and successful experience in the execution of data analytics initiatives, leading to the development of useful insights and the improvement of a business’s performance and driving top-line growth.
• Demonstrate success leading analytics and a large analytical team as well as vast experience working with a wide range of data in order to predict financial metrics for a business.
• Experience working with large data-sets and computing systems such as Hadoop.
• Degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. mathematics, statistics, epidemiology, economics) or Science discipline with a demonstration of excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of at least one analytical programming language (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, R, Python)
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written - an excellent communicator, able to communicate and build rapport effectively with all members of the organization, while also able to communicate technical terms understandable for everyone.
