Job Description
XDNA Digital Agency is seeking for a Back-End PHP Web Developer to join our highly motivated team in supporting our application development projects for our clients in the United Kingdom and Philippines.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct analysis of website and application requirements.
- Write APIs to combine front-end interfaces with back-end functionality
- Work with third-party integrations to bring enhanced functionality to the platform(s) being created (Stripe / Paypal / Sendgrid / Shopify to name a few)
- Debug and isolate potential bugs and security flaws before they reach production
- Research new technologies that could add value to the agency
- Help with database design, creation and management
Minimum Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications / Experience (not mentioned above or in the JD):
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years PHP development experience and familiarity with Codeigniter / Laravel / Wordpress
- Minimum of 2 years of core JavaScript experience, frameworks are a bonus
- Ability to design and debug complex systems.
- Proven experience using and writing content-driven REST APIs
- Proven Experience in XML and JSON
- Proven Experience in database systems: MySQL and Mongo
- Has an in-depth understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design
- Familiarity with using version control systems (Git)
- Experience and knowledge in Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), Rapid Application Development, Agile and Waterfall processes
- Possesses strong technological adaptability, creative thinking and the ability to work in a collaborative, innovative, and team-oriented environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
