The Technical Artist will serve as the bridge between the graphic artists and the programmers in creating engaging games. Technical Artists works closely with graphic artists, game producers and lead programmers. The Technical Artist is responsible in setting up and maintaining the fluid team environment of art production and decide which tools are appropriate for different projects, create new techniques and implementing them.
Minimum Qualifications
In order for you to perform all the tasks assigned, it is very ideal for you to have most of the qualifications below:
- 3+ years experience in graphic design
- Working knowledge on various tools such as 3D StudioMax, Maya, MaxScript, MEL Script, Python, and game engines.
- Experience working with Unreal Engine.
- Expert in photo shop (highly desirable in adobe flash)
- Experience working with written documentation in English
- Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft office suite , Web Design and Layout experience a plus
- Experience in art optimization
- Take charge in optimization of content for memory and performance gains, while maintaining visual fidelity
- Ability to think out-of-the-box to overcome technical challenges
- Passionate about AAA games and game development
- Experience with other popular or proprietary engines
- Strong balance of creative/visual aesthetics and technical skills
- Technical Writing experience a plus
