Job Description

The Team Leader for Sales develops and enhances the skills of sales agents for faster learning process and productivity. He/she delivers sales performance while balancing operational efficiencies for maximum performance. He/she also works with Senior Team Leaders, Operations Managers, and Shift Managers on planning and executing action plans for performance improvement. Other key tasks are as follows:

  • Supervise a team of Sales Representatives.
  • Partner with Deputy Sales Manager and Department Manager to identify trends and behaviors of the team through analysis of existing reports.
  • Coach and counsel agents on their performance.
  • Thoroughly document detailed action plans for performance improvement through coaching logs.
  • Spend a minimum of 80% of time actively coaching and counseling.
  • Provide documentation to Deputy Sales Manager.
  • Attend calibrations and trainings.
  • Understand and ensure adherence to all compliance elements including script adherence and review of stats to determine potential abuse.
  • Meet an expected percentage of “passing” agents monthly using pre-determined tollgates.
  • Conform to a standard coaching model in delivery and documentation.
  • Complete all required reports and forms within established time frames.
  • Coordinate with Deputy Sales Manager regarding all disciplinary requirements in a timely manner including but not limited to attendance, quality, sales performance, and violations of company policies.
  • Understand completely all product knowledge and quality guidelines.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Perform any additional duties as assigned by superior.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Education and experience
    • At least two (2) years of college education.
    • At least two (2) years of experience in customer service preferably gained from a call center or any business process outsourcing (BPO) company.
  • Language skills
    • Excellent communication both oral and written.
    • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and presentation.
  • Ability to:
    • Read, analyze, and interpret general data reports, manuals, technical procedures, etc.
    • Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
    • Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical skills
  • Ability to apply basic math concepts.
  • Reasoning abilityAbility to:
    • Define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
    • Interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Computer skills: To perform the job successfully, an individual should have a basic knowledge of the following:
    • Internet navigation and operations.
    • Microsoft Office applications.
    • Typing proficiency of at least 40-60 words per minute.
    • Other programs required by the account / system.
