Job Description
- Research, evaluate and buy products for a Department store to either resell to customers or use in everyday operations
- Track trends in consumer consumption to determine which products should be sold
- Evaluate prior sales to establish future fulfillment needs
- Research suppliers and negotiate contracts for product fulfillment processing
- Place orders and ensure inventory is properly distributed
- Can interact with wholesalers and clothing manufacturers to purchase lines of clothing, shoes and fashion accessories to be featured at retail stores
Minimum Qualifications
- 4yr course graduate
- At least 2 years experience in Fashion Merchandising
- Confidence, risk taking, decisiveness, knowledge of current fashion trends
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
