The Pre-Sales Engineer (PSE) supports sales productivity and deal flow by securing the “technical close” in complex solutions. The PSE collaborates with sales, service, engineering, and technical support resources to ensure proposed deals include technical solutions that accurately address customer needs.
The PSE is responsible for achieving a profit and productivity quota made up of the combined expectations of the sales resources, market, and/or channel supported.
The Pre-Sales Engineer is required to effectively document and communicate customer needs for the implementation and sales teams to ensure a positive customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical pre-sales services such as but not limited to doing product demonstrations, proof of concept, technical presentations and technical consultations
- Coordinates closely with internal sales, sales support, and service resources to align solution design with customers’ business requirements.
- Working closely and collaboratively with customers to devise effective solutions.
- Providing ongoing support for customers post implementation.
- Provides coaching and professional development to channel sales executives in order to enhance their product knowledge, technical acumen, and technical sales skills.
- Create and deliver powerful presentations and demos that clearly communicate the unique nature of our value proposition.
- Responsible for analyzing market data to determine the ideal customer for a given product.
- The pre-sales engineer must be well-versed in the selling company's portfolio of products and services and keep up with new technologies entering the market.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
- At least 2-3 years’ experience in technical Pre-Sales or any equivalent technical client-facing/business related role.
- Knowledge on different products for Networking, Data Storage, Cabling, Servers, Security Systems, and other related ICT infrastructure
- Has experience in IT or System Integrator Industry
- Excellent in communication, presentation, and demonstration skills.
- Up-to-date knowledge on new technologies in the Industries
