Job Description
About the Company
Based in Melbourne Australia, our partner company is a technologically advanced manufacturing facility and industry-leader for perforated metal projects with over 120 variations of 2D Products, 3D Products, Acoustic Systems and Value-added services .
We are currently looking for a Purchasing and Production Assistant to join the team and help in the daily operations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Purchase Inventory for Punching
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers
- Raise requests for quotation with suppliers
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best price, product quality and delivery time
- Generate purchase orders for raw material required for nesting, tooling and production consumables
- Create Production Reports
- Create Production Lead Time Reports
- Create DIFOT reports
- Monitor Inventory Value
- Follow up Powder coating Warranty information
Personal Responsibilities
- Comply with all lawful instructions from the Company in performing your duties
- Perform such duties diligently, honestly and to the best of your ability
- Keep such time and other records accurately as required by the Company
- Carrying out other duties which are within your skill and competence
- Report to and being accountable to persons nominated from time to time by the Company
- Uphold company Core Values and adhere to company Code of Conduct
- Understand and adhere to company policies
- Demonstrate an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development
- Utilize information technology as appropriate to the role
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 1 year experience in a Purchasing, Sales, Customer Service or similar role
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
- Professional phone manner
- Sound negotiation skills
- Proactive approach
- Sound computer skills (including MS Office)
- Good time management and organizational skills
- A dedicated room to work in with webcam, mic/speakers or headset
