Primary Function:
A Digital Marketing Analyst is responsible for measuring digital experiences,
performance patterns within campaigns, identifying optimization
opportunities, and assisting with testing and personalization of user
experience. This includes configuring and optimizing tools to develop
comprehensive reports that will translate to actionable recommendations for
the Marketing team. The individual will play a critical role in advising on how
to deliver a great digital experience to grow the business and inform strategy.
Responsibilities:
- Keep up with cutting edge industry trends and tools that provides more accuracy, efficiency and additional insights
- Generate regular reports that measure key metrics such as spend, ROAS, traffic by channel, etc. and share with internal stakeholders as needed
- Present clear, succinct, and actional reports for the Marketing Team and for all levels of the organization, including the CEO
- Continuously improve and enhance reports as well as identify and create new ones from observations and hypothesis
- Create a clear sales funnel or customer journey and set KPI to identify early on leakages
- Identify and create segments based on 5 types Behavioral, Psychographic, Demographic, Geographic, and Firmographic. Translate into segments for usable for each marketing channel
- Propose and implement a weighted attribution modelling framework for to understand performance of each marketing effort and allocate budgets accordingly
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to optimize experiences throughout the acquisition funnel to drive conversions and lead generation
- Crosscheck marketing data form Google Analytics against Shopify data with a small acceptable margin of error
- Research competition, investigate benchmarks, and provide suggestions for improvement
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 5 years of work experience in a similar role within an e-
- commerce environment using Shopify
- Certification and proficiency with Google Analytics and Tag Manager
- Experience in migration to GA4
- Experience in weighted attribution modelling
- Deep understanding and familiarity of current tracking methods such as UTM, pixel, cookies, tags etc.
- Experience with Big Query, Data Studio, Tableau is a plus
- Experience in advanced segmentation
- Technical knowledge in HTML, CSS, and web programming
- Ability to coordinate across different time zones and to work remotely
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and technical skills and the ability to make recommendations based on data insights
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changeable environment, balancing multiple priorities, and ensuring high-quality outcomes
- Strong work ethic and contributes a very professional attitude towards all aspects of work
