Job Description
We’re on the lookout for a Marketing Copywriter!
Content is king! Weremote is looking for a creative Copywriter that will make excellent and engaging content. If you love writing and want to write about cool, informative and up-to-date articles come and join our up-and-coming startup company!
Your Day-to-day
- Writing clear, compelling copy for various mediums (e.g. ads, blog posts, newsletters, social media posts)
- Conduct thorough, high quality research and interviews
- Working with creative professionals to build marketing projects and campaigns
- Edit and proofread copy as needed
- Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach
- Source images and other content
- Keyword research
- Develop relevant content and include the right keywords or phrases in order to increase traffic on the website.
- Compose blogs and 10x articles
- Compose content/calendar for our Social Media
- Help the marketing team prep and execute campaigns and events as needed

Minimum Qualifications
Role Must-haves
- Knowledge in content marketing and content growth
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in marketing or communications
- Demonstrated success in managing a business social media presence
- Experience in producing copy for digital, print and broadcast channels
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word and Excel
- Exceptional skill with the nuances of social media writing, including the use of hashtags, emojis and acronyms
- Proven experience as a copywriter or related role
- Knowledge of online content strategy and creation
- Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
- Strong research skills
- Creativity
- Collaborative spirit
- Excellent time-management and organizational skills
- Experience and understanding SEO concepts is a plus
- Outstanding ability to think creatively, strategically, and identify and resolve problems
- Excellent verbal and written communication skill
- Ability to work within a team and independently
- Experience with website optimization tools is a plus
- Working Knowledge of HTML and WordPress
- Social media or content marketing experience
- Proofreading experience and familiarity with standard style
