Job Description
- Achieve brands’ objectives by the appropriate, effective, and prompt implementation of packaging requirements.
- Supervise all assigned/relevant staff to ensure the most efficient distribution of work, effective planning, timeliness, and high standards of execution, positive morale, career development and growth, and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Lead the team by example and help set Company standards by following our core values and guidelines.
Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or any scientific discipline from a reputable college or university.
- 1-2 years relevant work experience in the packaging development process gained within a similar environment ideal.
- Junior employees or recent graduates willing to learn and develop are welcome to apply.
- Experience in project management - from start to finish within tight timescales in a fast-moving environment.
- Effective supplier relations, cost/contract negotiations, and project management experience.
- Some understanding of packaging design principles are among the qualifications of a competent candidate for this post.
- Proficiency with software such as Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
- Knowledge of packaging development concepts and practices, and an understanding of how costs can be built into or out of products are advantages.
- An understanding of products, as well as commercial and business acumen is a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- The position requires liaising with suppliers locally and abroad, as well as with a range of internal stakeholders.
- Tremendous organizational skills.
- Very deadline-sensitive.
- Performs well under pressure.
- Proactive.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to use and quickly learn computer systems as well as comprehend technical information.
- Ability to implement technology to improve packaging development processes
