Job Description
- Achieve brands’ objectives by the appropriate, effective and prompt implementation of packaging requirements.
- Supervise all assigned/relevant staff to ensure the most efficient distribution of work, effective planning, timeliness and high standards of execution, positive morale, career development and growth, and consistent communication with all stakeholders.
- Lead the team by example, and help set Company standards by following our core values and guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications
- Graduate of Mechanical Engineering, Chemistry, Physics, Materials Science, or any scientific discipline from a reputable college or university
- 1-2 years relevant work experience in the packaging development process gained within a similar environment ideal, but junior employees or recent graduates willing to learn and develop are welcome to apply
- Experience in project management: from start to finish within tight timescales in a fast-moving environment
- Very deadline-sensitive; performs well under pressure
- Proactive and has the ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to use and quickly learn computer systems as well as comprehend technical information; proficiency with software such as Adobe Creative Suite a plus
- Knowledge of packaging development concepts and practices, and an understanding of how costs can be built into or out of products are advantages
- Resourcefulness and aptitude towards research and sourcing; ability to implement technology to improve packaging development processes
- An understanding of products, as well as commercial and business acumen, are pluses
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation skills as the position requires liaising with suppliers locally and abroad, as well as with a range of internal stakeholders
- Tremendous organizational skills, effective supplier relations, cost/contract negotiations, project management experience, and, ideally, some understanding of packaging design principles are among the qualifications of a competent candidate for this post
