Job Description
- Ensures that production is efficient and adheres to safety and quality standards.
- Oversees preventive maintenance affection production to avoid quality and efficiency problems
- Conducts tests and assures quality of raw materials used for production and maintains proper documentation
- Conducts test and assures quality of finished product and maintains proper documentation
- Evaluate and take corrective action when necessary with regard to non conforming products
- Educate and instruct plant personnel in recommended quality control testing, equipment sanitation and general sanitation and housekeeping practices. Confirm these procedures are being maintained
- Consult with plant management and personnel on better operational procedures to improve overall efficiency and product yields.
- Discuss plant evaluation with plant management, make appropriate recommendations and set timetable for improvement and corrections.
Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Micro Biology or Food Science
- At least one year experience in field, laboratory, or production facility quality control
- Willing to train and supervise;
- Can multi-task and adjust to manufacturing facility work environment
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
