Job Description
- Develop high quality, re-usable source code. Ensure code is commented in line with company software guidelines.
- Perform code reviews.
- Automate test harnesses where possible to enhance quality of product functionality.
- Where automation is not possible, design and document effective manual test strategies.
- Incorporate Non-functional requirements into the design of the product features in order to deliver a high quality of service to customers.
- Lead the process of validating bug fixes before they are made available to customers.
- Collaborate with support team across the globe to formulate the most effective solution to complex production incidents and service calls.
- Work on complex projects with some supervision and has latitude for judgment on own experience and expertise.
- Assist and mentor less experienced peers.
- Plan and perform all applicable test types (user interface testing, functionality testing, performance testing, regression testing, unit testing, system testing, integration testing, etc.)
- Make recommendations for the improvement of the technical platform and development process to increase productivity.
- Provide effective communication with geographically distributed team members.
- Escalate urgent issues to quality assurance and management.
- Participate in Design and sprint planning reviews.
- Collaborate with developer and QA to design effective test plans.
- Pick-up support call from customers contacting VERINT support hotline during local office hours, hand-over urgent issues to subsequent region when necessary.
- Design, development and management of automated build and deployment systems.
- Contribute to or lead customer Support issue resolution and / or reviews.
Minimum Qualifications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a must.
- A minimum of 4 years of proven success in implementing and designing enterprise level solutions, or suitable alternative experience in a professional engineering department.
- Java with the Spring Framework (e.g. Spring Core, Spring Boot, Spring Web Services, Spring AOP).
- JavaScript using Node.js, Redux.js, React.js and HTML and CSS.
- Experience building Microservices design pattern, Messaging and Queuing patterns, Modern REST API & SOAP API patterns.
- Experience of developing high quality, secure and performant solutions against functional and non-functional requirements.
- The ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of Agile working practices and methodologies.
- Development experience with call center or back office applications is desirable.
- Experience in the design and programming of applications that can be deployed in a clustered environment and scaled horizontally is desirable.
- QA experience with experience in test automation is desirable.
- Ability to handle customer issues is desirable.
- Ability to demonstrate Design and architect tasks within a delivery plan is essential.
- BDD principles with Cucumber.
- TDD principles with either TestNG or JUnit.
- UI test Automation with Selenium.
- Cross Browser testing tools such as Browserstack.
- Packaging: Docker, Amazon AMI, Packer, Terraform, Ansible.
- Build: Jenkins and Jenkins Pipeline.
- Monitoring and Logging: ELK (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), Prometheus and Grafana.
