Job Description

OBJECTIVES:

To ensure new area development and product placement of company products and other businesses to all stores in their assigned blocks/areas.

To assist the Supervisor and/or Team Leader in implementing the distribution plans of his assigned Distributor in attaining the Company’s long term Objectives.

I. Management Performance Areas

Planning & Organizing

  • Analyzes business conditions and trends in the assigned stores.
  • Familiarizes with the stores in his assigned coverage area.
  • Prepares and updates on a quarterly basis the accounts master list, account and area profile of each block and their maps in accordance with established sequential routing coverage system.
  • Organizes a daily, weekly & monthly coverage plan to ensure regular coverage of all pre-listed accounts in all the blocks.
  • Strictly implements itinerary schedule of area and account/ outlet coverage, sales and collection.
  • Plans the efficient & effective placement of the standard must-carry products based on Be Hapi template and manages their continuous availability based on the products performance per account.
  • Plans the efficient & effective strategic product display (Hot Spot Displays) in all his Accounts.
  • Strictly implements standardized SRP for the stores must-carry products based on Be Hapi template and determine desired results as discussed by the sales team.
  • Develops good trade relations with the outlet owners.
  • Maintains up-to-date records of accounts and each block or area.
  • Establishes action steps and schedules of plans, programs or directives as per guidelines given by the Operations Manager/ Distributor Sales Supervisor / Team Leader and /or Channel Distribution Specialist.
  • Requests and computes for resources needed to implement sales & merchandising action steps within allowable budgetary limits.
  • Learns and masters operational policies and procedures given by superiors.

Controlling

  • Submits an accurate, timely and updated Daily Coverage Report (DCR) including competitive activities and trade information. Completes and regularly updates the information of their Account Database for all blocks.
  • Implements, monitors and enhances the merchandising objectives & activities per account;
  • Ensures the account’s compliance of the credit and collection (if applicable) policy of the company.
  • Monitors and immediately asks replacement of bounced checks and if there are delinquent accounts, makes recommendations to his immediate superior. (if applicable)
  • Maintains variance of truck inventory at a minimum allowable amount set by the distributor and aligned with the respective CDS/M.

II. Technical Performance Areas

Distribution, Sales, and Collection

  • Ensures attainment of distribution, placement, merchandising and collection objectives per standards.
  • Ensures fast placement & consistent monitoring of re-order of new products in all outlets covered.
  • Truck Stock Inventory Management / Outlet Stock Inventory
  • Ensures effective and efficient inventory of truck stocks and outlet’s stocks as evidenced by continuous reduction of occurrences of illegitimate B.O.’s, stock outs, over stock and ensuring ICO-compliance through the proper accomplishment of manual Truck Stock report on a daily basis.

Truck Repairs and Maintenance

  • Ensures strict implementation of preventive maintenance programs as evidenced by non-occurrence of breakdowns due to misuse and lack of proper maintenance by immediately reporting any truck-related concerns to the OM/DSS and/or TL.

Bad Orders and Stock Returns Management

  • Ensures strict implementation of policy, systems and procedures on bad orders and stock returns as evidenced by non-occurrence of illegitimate B.O.’s and attainment of Bad Orders CSR objective.
  • Report Preparation and Submission of Collection
  • Ensures timely submission of accurate reports, purchase orders and collections.

Marketing Program Assistance

  • Ensures maximum assistance in the implementation of Marketing Programs in his area as evidenced by keeping abreast of the latest market conditions, product innovation and price changes and timely retrieval of information needed by Marketing.

Merchandising

  • Ensures that our brands are properly displayed (within the “hot spot’) and well advertised inside and outside the outlets through effective use of merchandising/ POP materials i.e. posters, hanging baskets, price cards mobiles, product visual aids, etc. and the influential relationship with the store owner & displayer/s.

Pricing

  • Ensures that our brands are properly and competitively priced in all outlets where they are distributed.

Customer Trade Relation

  • Ensures maintenance of Customers and Trade Relations with the accounts of the assigned blocks, area/regions as evidenced by the continuous good business patronage of Company products, with strategic or “hot spot” product display in the outlets and supportive of company’s objectives.

Trade Information and Competitive Reporting

  • Provide immediate, complete and accurate reports on significant competitive activities, as well as economic/trade conditions pertinent to MNC products in the area.

Minimum Qualifications

Aptitudes and Capacities

  • Ability to understand and apply basic selling strategies and practices.
  • Learning the ability to understand the functions, qualities, and specifications of the products sold.
  • Verbal ability to communicate effectively, when describing needs & opportunities of products & in transacting business; discussing solutions such as product strategic positioning & competitive pricing; and communicating ideas in resolving issues, concerns or complaints.
  • Numerical ability to calculate prices & profits, credit, discounts and credit terms.
  • Clerical ability to maintain accurate records of transactions and to prepare required reports.
  • Can do other functions as prescribed from time to time by the OM/DSS and/or TL

Training & Entry Requirements

  • Preferably with product experience followed by a selling experience of at least a year.
  • Should pass MNC Distributor Personnel Qualifying Exam
