- Meet with buyers to determine their needs and recommend the right loan products to help meet Sales goals
- Maintain an active knowledge base of all bank loan products and an understanding of the qualifications required of each buyer
- Identify and recommend loan products that meet the buyer’s needs and the bank’s lending guidelines
- Review active loan files daily to determine if any documents are missing or what can be done to help the process along
- Utilize professional judgment to determine which potential buyer represents good risk opportunities for the organization
- Negotiate and accredit banks for buyer’s loan applications
- Recommend payment schemes to the Sales Manager
- Point person in all dealings with bank loan products
- Recommend interest rates and payment schemes to the Finance officer for in-house loan products
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Business, Sales, Finance or related field
- Minimum 7 years of work experience
- Prior experience being a loan officer (bank or non-bank institution) is an advantage
- Strong project management and organizational skills, combined with proficiency at multi-tasking - often managing multiple projects and personnel simultaneously
- Thorough understanding of and ability to analyze key drivers of success for real estate projects, including demographic and competitive factors
- Experience in real estate lease lending, including rent factors, tenant allowances, and lease terms
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; capable of communicating with all levels of personnel in an appropriate, understandable and concise manner
- Strong interpersonal skills. The individual must be capable of developing and maintaining strong internal and external relationships in order to achieve objectives
- Self-motivated, but collaborative and team-oriented individual with a strong sense of integrity and professionalism
