Job Description
- Reporting into the Marketing & Distribution Manager, the Distribution Assistant role is crucial to the smooth operation of Insider TV’s channel.
- Primary responsibility will be to track and monitor all distribution channels: online, in hotels and onboard airlines.
- Ensuring vital tools such as the Hotel Distribution Databases are up to date and accessible to relevant staff.
- A proactive approach to researching and compiling data.
- Report generation and analysis.
- Assist in the delivery of new content to markets around Asia Pacific via email and airmail.
- Oversee all of Insider TV’s video assets.
- Track all video assets from inception to completion using dedicated spreadsheets and tools, ensuring that all members of the company know at what stage of production and given video might be.
- Upload videos to online platforms such as YouTube.
- This includes SEO management, copywriting, and playlist management.
- Oversee copyright claim notifications sent by YouTube, coordinate with editors regarding the music sources, and file disputes to the claims if possible.
- Liaise with counterparts in China for Chinese Social Media management.
- Keep apprised of social media trends and content strategies.
- Assist with the managing of online marketing campaigns including YouTube (TrueView), Google Ad Words, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Required to coordinate with multiple departments of the company, from Distribution, Marketing, and Production to all levels of Senior Management.
- May be required to partake in other ad hoc administrative duties.
Minimum Qualifications
- 2-years of social media/communications/administration experience.
- Excellent Microsoft office skills, including Excel and Outlook
- Strong, professional communications skills, both written and verbal (in English)
- Experience in maintaining accurate records.
- Significant experience of, but not limited to – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, YouTube, WeChat, Weibo, Youku, LeTV, and QQ
- Innovative and passionate approach to social media campaign creation.
- Excellent time management skills.
- Understanding of user-generated content management
- Interest in travel content and video production will be a benefit
- Speaking Mandarin is a bonus
