Job Description
- Design and develop highly scalable, reliable and fault tolerant systems
- Able to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
- Willingness to learn and experiment with new languages and technologies
- Ability to plan, prioritise, estimate
- Communicate, collaborate and work effectively across distributed teams in a global environment
- Pair with team members on functional and nonfunctional requirements and spread design philosophy and goals across the team
- Able to take responsibility for multiple services maintained by the team
- Collaborating with the front-end developers and other team members to establish objectives and design more functional, cohesive codes to enhance the user experience
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in the same position and industry
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Informatic Engineering, or related area
- Hands-on experience in designing, developing, testing and deploying large scale applications in any language or stack
- Well versed with Agile methodologies, TDD, Test Engineering and Automation
- Proficient in OOP, SQL, Design Patterns
- Familiar with data modelling experience in both Relational and NoSQL databases
- Ability to design and implement low latency RESTful services
- Ability to understand and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deliver
- Experience in troubleshooting server performance memory issues, GC tuning, resource leaks, etc.
- Good understanding of microservice architecture, event driven systems is definite plus
- Deep knowledge of Linux as a production environment
- Ability to work independently or with a group
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving aptitude
- Excellent communication skills in English, for both oral and written
- Can-do attitude and be able to work under pressure
