Job Description
- Stay abreast of technological advancements (latest inverters, solar modules, mounting, battery/hybrid/microgrid systems).
- Take the lead in the research, evaluation and application of new technologies into our designs.
- Ensure compliance to both International and Philippine Industry Code and Standards such as the PEC, NEC, IEC and National Building Code for design; installation and O&M of PV systems.
- Monitor new local regulations related to Renewable energy - (DOE, ERC, Board of Engineers, NGCP, Distribution Utilities and the like) and ensure our designs and standards adhere to LGU, PEZA or grid compliance and permitting requirements.
- Provide input on new or alternative components for improved design or cost reduction.
- Review specifications and recommend engineering changes to achieve solar design objectives.
- Perform QA & Compliance reviews on the designs and plans made by the Design Engineers
- Perform initial review of the designs and financials prepared by the Design Engineers.
- Provide technical direction or support to installation teams during installation, start-up, testing, system commissioning, or performance monitoring. 10) Research and provide solution to system issues that could not be resolved by the O&M team.
- In-charge in the Commissioning of the PV system to be assisted by the assigned Project Engineer.
- Provide Technical Support to the Sales Team during Client Meetings
Minimum Qualifications
Education/License: Licensed Electrical Engineer
Work Experience: At least 3 years’ experience in solar PV industry or construction industry
- Proficient in Excel, Word, AutoCAD, PVSYST
- Good communication skills
- Enthusiasm for Learning
- Good problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Meticulous, with attention to quality
Has a background in Renewable Energy especially Solar and building electrical management; Preferred: Experience in Distribution Utility
