Job Description

Dataprise Business Development Officer work in a fast-paced culture, surrounded by talented, motivated and intellectual colleagues who thrive on helping prospective clients WIN with IT. As a member of our Sales Team, Business Development Officer can help drive results that directly impact the company's overall growth and bottom line.

In this position, you will:

  • Track SMB sales opportunities via Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and assist with bringing in new and recurring revenue.
  • Proactively seek new business opportunities in the market.
  • Partner with Account Executives to set up meetings and/or calls between them and prospective clients.
  • Analyze and qualify leads generated through marketing campaigns as sales opportunities.
  • Contact potential clients through cold calls and emails.
  • Present service offerings to potential clients and identify their needs to suggest appropriate products/services.
  • Stay up-to-date with new products/services and new pricing/payment plans.
  • Prepare and report to Sales leadership weekly/monthly/quarterly activity and results.​
  • Participate in sales meetings, networking, and business development events and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

  • You have a couple years of prior experience working in a sales focused role, a proven track record of achieving sales goals, and you understand sales performance metrics.
  • You have exposure to various sales techniques (including cold calling and prospecting) and are motivated to build on that experience.
  • You have familarity with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce).
  • You are adept with IT terminology (in particular, Microsoft technologies) and have the ability to translate technical jargon into non-technical terms.
  • You have proven success building new business relationships (interacting with C-level management) and are experienced in and comfortable with cold-calling.
  • You are proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • You have fantastic interpersonal skills and are an excellent communicator (verbally + written).
  • You are adaptable and can manage and priortize your time well, juggling multiple tasks and working with various internal teams at once.
  • You are capable of front-line interaction with customers with a consultative sales approach and are comfortable delivering engaging presentations.
  • You take ownership of your success and for attaining performance goals
  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
