Purchasing Engineer  

Toyota Motor Philippines is looking for Purchasing Engineers to join our Purchasing Engineering Department based in Santa Rosa, Laguna, Philippines.

The Purchasing Engineer is a member of the Supplier Project Management Section that is responsible in developing local parts, sourcing quality parts, provides technical support to suppliers to meet production quality standards.

In this role, you are expected to be a domain expert in technical drawing, local parts development and project management and engineering administration.

Your role and responsibilities:

• Provides technical support and guidance to suppliers
• Conducts supplier visit and audit
• Local parts development
• Review work operations and manage supplier improvement activities
• Handles supplier parts tracking team
• Communicates with suppliers, designers, and working group
• Manage engineering administration:

1. Request for Design, Development & Change of Parts
2. International Material Data System implementation
3. Toyota Standards online system management

• You have a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.

Skills required:

• Excellent computer and Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
• Relevant experience in lean manufacturing, automotive parts & process is an advantage
• Has knowledge in technical analysis and technical drawing
• Basic knowledge in CAD (2D or 3D) data is an advantage
• Ability to coordinate with a diverse range of personalities and groups
• Excellent English written and oral communication skills
• Organizational skills, detail oriented
• Tenacious team player
