Job Description

  • Provide leadership, direction and ensure SSC commitments to affiliates are met
  • Lead the implementation of organization objectives including a common set of standard business processes, technology enhancements, and delivery of value based accounting services to affiliates
  • Manages key relationships with finance leadership within affiliates to ensure service delivery commitments and value expectations are met
  • Deliver talent, business, and financial expectations for SSC
  • Ensure compliance and regulatory expectations are met within the service delivery scope
  • Drive a continuous improvement and change management capability with the service delivery scope
  • Partner with affiliate process owners, finance management, and the other regional service delivery leads to identify and deliver ongoing improvements in service performance
  • Maintain and foster external relationships and benchmarking to ensure responsiveness to changing environments
  • Responsible for managing a team of associates and acts as a Point of Contact (POC) for the specific countries and affiliates assigned to them
  • Coordinates with Human Resources to establish programs for employee welfare and development
  • Identifies required competencies to meet the demands of the business
  • Identifies and works with C.I to execute process improvements
  • Manages recruitment and retention process to ensure that the assigned to the team or process is properly staffed
  • Responsible for the effective operation and performance of corporate accounting in terms of month-end close and financial reporting.
  • Reviews the works of subordinates for correctness and effectiveness, and checks accuracy of data inputs to the system.
  • Responsible for the timely and full completion of book close process for applicable SAP-FI modules.
  • Consistently identify, address and recommend enhancements or areas for improvement in the processes owned and handled
  • Lead special projects/assignments designed to improve the timeliness, accuracy of affiliate’s financial information and accounting and reporting systems.
  • Lead team in business process review, gap analyses documentation of process maps and standard operating procedures.
  • Extend expertise and support in SAP-FI modules and assist in the resolution of application support issues.
  • Responsible for timely preparation and submission of monthly performance reports for affiliate finance.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • With a Bachelor Degree in Accounting or Finance, Business Administration or in a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountants is a plus
  • Has at least 5-7 years of work experience in a Finance and Accounting role, prior experience in a Shared Service environment or experience in Oil, Gas and Energy industries is an advantage
  • 2-3 years in managing team of accountants
  • SAP background is a must
  • Process or work transition experience is an advantage
  • Ability to multi-task and is results and quality driven
  • With strong analytical and communication (written and spoken) skills and is eager to work in a team-oriented multi cultural environment
  • Customer Service Oriented
  • Knowledgeable in SAP and high proficiency with MS Office application is a must
  • Additional Proficiency in other Asian Language such as Chinese, Vietnamese, Thai, Bahasa and in French will be an advantage.
