Job Description
- Develop the data protection related policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes and the evolving risk profile of the organisation.
- Undertake research of international data protection requirements
- Proactively maintain, update and operate procedures in support of the Data Protection Policy and associated Group Data Protection Standards
- Draft data protection communications for the business
- Stay abreast of developments in data protection practice and law
- Support the delivery of business-focussed data protection awareness sessions
- Own and respond to business queries on Data Protection policies and standards
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate ideally holds a Law degree, legal qualification or equivalent.
- Able to work independently and proactively
- Good knowledge of GDPR and International data protection requirements
- Good knowledge of data protection methods, practices and regulations.
- Good knowledge of information technology, information and/ or cyber security methods, practices and regulations desirable
- Good influencing, negotiating, planning, organizing and analysis skills
- Good analytical skills, including the ability to assess risk and impact from a privacy and data protection perspective
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Ability to interact within team environment critical
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales imposed by legislation and business need
