Job Description
The Customer Service Associate is mainly responsible for the balancing or transactions and processing of over-the-counter transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, encashment, bills payments, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Acts as alternate custodian of the Branch Officer-In-Charge (BOIC) on branch keys and combinations.
- Accepts peso / dollar cash and check deposits and processes / approves withdrawals and check encashments within his authority.
- Verifies the authenticity of bills accepted for deposits.
- Performs passbook updating and processing of closing and reactivation of accounts.
- Processes over-the-counter bills payments and SSS payments as well as debit / credit memos.
- Processes foreign exchange transactions.
- Pays out petty expenses and proceeds of remittances.
- Maintains picos, cash, and pay out transactions within the approved limit.
- Reviews that transactions are properly approved by the BOIC and/or Co-signor prior to processing and pay out.
- Balances over-the-counter transactions against system print-outs and ensures that shortages / overages, if any are declared.
- Maintains the orderliness of workstation during the day and cleanliness at end-of-day.
- Performs cross-selling of the bank’s products and services.
- Maintains files of deposit / withdrawal slips, debit / credit memos, and other over-the-counter documents.
- Performs other functions that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least a Bachelor's / College degree in any of the following:
- Economics
- Finance
- Accountancy
- Banking
- Business Studies
- Business Administration
- Business Management
- Commerce
- Any equivalent course
- Banking and Finance experience, prefereably as a Customer Service Associate-Teller.
- Willing to work in Sto. Tomas, Batangas.
