Job Description

About you

As an L&D Program Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and improving company-wide learning programs, from onboarding to manager development. You will work with both the Learning & Development team in the Philippines and the People Programs Team in the US on various aspects of training programs, including communications, curriculum development, attendance tracking, and program evaluation.

What you will do

Program management and delivery: manage/co-manage projects and stakeholders during the end-to-end training process

  • Scheduling training sessions and managing training calendar
  • Managing communications with training attendees
  • Managing and communicating with stakeholders including business leaders, subject matter experts/trainers, and representatives from HR Ops, People Business Partners, L&D, and Learning teams
  • Problem solving and thinking creatively around logistics
  • Maintaining and improving curriculum and training content, and corresponding materials
  • Examples of programs may include: #Day 1, Thumbtack 101, Managing @ Thumbtack, Immersion Program, StrengthsFinder trainings, etc.

Be a key partner in conducting training evaluation for all our learning programs

  • Create and administer program surveys
  • Curating participant feedback on program surveys
  • Facilitate/co-facilitate focus group discussions
  • Summarize and analyze data to surface highlights and opportunities for improvement
  • Making improvements to programs based on feedback and employee/business needs

Partner effectively with our US learning teams for global initiatives

  • Help identify programs/initiatives that can be run on a global scale
  • Assist in planning and implementing identified programs/initiatives

Additional Tasks

  • Program/process improvement: Partnering with HR Ops, People Business Partners, L&D and Learning teams to revamp L&D processes and programs
  • Vendor & LMS Management: select and maintain relationships with vendors and update tools and content
  • Stipend Program Management: Partner with Finance to respond to ongoing employee questions about education stipend policy and reimbursement
  • Learning Wiki: Partner with learning team members to keep the wiki up-to-date with program details, learning opportunities and resources
  • Operations support: Create/improve effective, engaging learning programs for all stakeholder teams
  • Help craft and adhere to standard processes that will make L&D programs and projects scalable

Minimum Qualifications

What you need to have

  • At least 2 years of project management experience in a corporate or institutional environment
  • At least 1 year experience working in the learning and development industry
  • Experience working with a Learning Management System (uploading content, pulling reports, creating quizzes, etc.)
