Job Description
- Internal Audit Review
- Measure and evaluate the effectiveness of agree policies, procedures, and operations in achieving the Exchange’s agreed strategic corporate objectives;
- Provide support, guidance and information on control issues to all business units to improve their capacity to deliver;
- Provide timely and professional advice to PSE Divisions and Offices on appropriate and practical control measures;
- Develop the annual or periodic plan for presentation to and approval of the Board Audit Committee; and
- Cascade the approved audit plan to the auditors for execution.
- Strategy and Risk Management
- Evaluate suitability of existing policies and procedures relative to strategy management and risk management, and recommend, as needed, policy updates and amendments to the management;
- Coordinate with other department within the PSE on issues and activities related to strategy and its implementation; and
- Assist the Risk and Compliance Officer in matters relating to enterprise risk management, as well as other functions that the PSE may deem appropriate.
- Proactively inform senior management of significant risk or exposures related to internal controls.
- Leadership and Management Functions:
- Lead the office’s annual business and budget planning;
- Provide sufficient guidance to all reporting auditors;
- Ensure that all auditors are performing in accordance to their duties;
- Monitor the team’s workflow, attendance and performance;
- Conduct regular one-on-one discussion with auditors regarding their performance and work ethics, as needed;
- Report any current or possible employee violations;
- Participate in the Annual Review; and
- Mentor and develop reporting auditors to ensure their professional development.
- Regularly review and update IAO’s internal process and ensure its accordance with the current audit trends and professional standards
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of Accountancy, Business, Economics or similar degree;
- A licensed Certified Public Accountant, Certified Information Systems Audit, Certified Treasury Professional and/or Master’s Degree on related courses;
- With at least 5 years related work experience organizational development, performance management and/or business process improvement;
- Experience in corporate governance, risk management and finance is an advantage;
- With at least 2 years work experience as an executive or managerial position;
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
- Excellent interpersonal and public relations skill with ability to work with diverse business groups;
- Must be able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced quickly changing environment
