Software Quality Assurance Specialist  

Responsible for testing regulatory compliance content, developed in the or as project templates for the product and/or application to ensure they conform to customer requirements, and to mitigate any non-conformances found.

• Reviews project requirements and assesses Software Quality Assurance tests needed
• Reviews security categories and domains assigned for parsed requirements
• Reviews automation test scripts developed for parsed requirements
• Ensures the content from third party applications are correctly mapped to the requirements parsed for the product and/or application
• Ensures the reviewed project templates are working when used in our product and/or application
• Creates and executes test cases
• Implements the Software Quality Assurance Plan based on the agreed upon schedule and in compliance with the team’s methodologies and standards
• Creates defect reports against issues found during testing
• Ensures any non-compliance activities and processes are reported to the software development team and project manager
• Addresses all non-compliance issues
• Reports status on SQA Activities
• Attends project status meetings and trainings
• Assists the Quality Assurance Manager, Quality Assurance Lead and Project Lead in performing tasks assigned to the team.
• Performs other duties as requested and within areas of expertise

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related course
• At least 6 months to 1 year working experience in software quality testing, i.e. experience in:
  • different types of testing such as functional testing, reliability testing, stress testing, performance testing, load testing
  • QA documentation, for example: test cases, test plans, etc.
  • Bug reporting, monitoring, and control.
• Understands structured testing techniques and QA methodologies.
• Relevant work experience in the following areas is an advantage:
• use of automated testing tools such as JUnit, Selenium, JMeter, CAT.NET, Neoload
• software testing in various platforms (.NET, Java, C#), databases, and devices (desktop, tablet, mobile)
  • use of test management tools such as JIRA, TestLink
  • web application and installed application testing
  • software installation, configuration, security, stress and performance testing
  • Agile Software Development process
  • testing sites using different browsers and operating systems including mobile environment
• Has strong analytical skills and is detail-oriented
• Able to work independently/minimal supervision or with a team
• Is capable of multitasking
• Has excellent oral and written communication skills
