TATERS ENTERPRISES, INC., franchisor of the Taters Snack League fast food chain and CHIMARA Neo-Vegan Café is a 100% Filipino-owned, family corporation registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission as of November 1994. Established its first retail outlet on August 4, 1994 at the Greenbelt Cinema Square, Makati, the introduction of Taters revolutionized the cinema fast-food industry and provided the movie-going market with newer, better quality snack alternatives. Its initial menu offered only three popular entertainment snack take-outs such as flavored popcorn, fries and roasted peanuts. Theater-goers and mall passers-by were instantly impressed by its American-themed, cooked-on-site, tasteful and wholesome food items vis-à-vis the usual unappetizing snacks offered by old-style popcorn concessionaires. Since then, Taters Enterprises, Inc. continued to develop and open franchise outlets in prime malls in Metro Manila, Northern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. Its franchising program started as early as June 1995 after many inquiries it has received from the opening of its first store. In keeping with fast-changing market trends and consumer demands, TEI’s trade designs, franchise systems, commissary operation, products, and processes continue to evolve along with joint search and development efforts with its trade suppliers. In all its endeavors, the delivery of quality products and services has always been the company’s commitment and ultimate goal. To this date, the Taters brand has remained the leading cinema fast-food serving top entertainment centers in the Philippines. In 2014, on its 20th anniversary, Taters has been given the Philippine Quality Challenge Level 2, being the first recipient of the award for its high standards and excellent quality of products.
