Head of Logistics

What You Will Do:

• Build & continuously refine the strategic delivery model & logistics network that will not only meet the company’s current needs, but also anticipate future needs – end-to-end from upstream to downstream, including first-mile, mid-mile, and last-mile to serve both B2C (households) and B2B (F&B businesses) customers.
• Define the right mix between third-party logistics (3PL) partnerships and in-house (“captive”) logistics, for each of the company’s hubs (Jabodetabek, Jawa Barat, Jawa Tengah, Jawa Timur, Bali), to optimize between OTIF (on-time, in-full) delivery to customers and cost efficiencies (lower cost per delivery)
• Lead the effective management of relationships and SLAs (service level agreements) with 3PLs to ensure minimum customer complaints and maximum customer satisfaction.
• Build both system and people resilience to scale up both capability and capacity to handle surges in customer demand.
• Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team (with Supply Chain, Sourcing, Commercial, Growth, Customer Service, Tech, Finance, etc).
• Help build the Supply Chain organization to be world-class and nurture future leaders and supply chain experts, including training the logistics department.

Who will be suitable for this role:

• Must-Have
  • Have at least 6 years of full-time experience in supply chain management / logistics roles, including at least 3 years working at Indonesian-based companies with fast turnaround of physical goods (e.g. E-Commerce platforms, 3PLs, e-commerce enablers, Retail, FMCG, consumer products distributor, etc)
  • Have managed at least 3 full-time, direct reports in supply chain management / logistics teams.
  • Have proven track record of playing a key role in driving business growth and improvements through supply chain management / logistics efforts – e.g. lowering logistics cost per delivery, increasing speed of delivery, increasing OTIF %, and ultimately providing increased customer satisfaction and improving customer retention.

  • Have experience with the Fresh Produce and/or Groceries category.
  • Have worked at top-tier Technology companies or Startups, especially e-commerce.
  • Have experience in top-tier Management Consulting firms.
