Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Troubleshoots and resolves Operating System (OS), hardware/software, internet, networking and other computer related problem over phone or in person.
2. Recognizes, researches, isolates, resolves, and follows-up on identified and prioritized problems.
3. Inventories PC, peripherals and other IT-related assets.
4. Builds and configures laptop and desktop.
5. Installs and undertakes regular service maintenance program to monitor condition of all computer software, hardware, and other computing equipment.
6. Installs computers and related equipment including cabling of connections and components.
7. Provides support of software applications such as software installation and configuration.
8. Checks and diagnoses computer hardware performance and detects problems/errors.
9. Disassembles, reassembles, adjusts, repairs, and replaces worn or defective mechanisms, disk drives, printers, visual display units, CD-ROMS, and other parts.
10. Cleans computer hardware components and interiors.
11. Provides technical advice and/or other support to software and hardware users to ensure efficient and effective utilization of applications as per Help Desk Form specifications, verbal queries and/or operations requirements.
12. Undertakes various reporting functions within the area of responsibility including maintenance of shared resources, Event Log Report of server.
13. Inventories and maintains a record of all consumable and non-consumable computer supplies on Receiving/Issuance Log Book.
14. Prepares asset tags of all computer hardware and software to facilitate inventory and audit activities.
15. Prepares detailed report of PC configuration for future reference on action to be taken.
16. Perform various hardware and software installations at client sites related to projects
17. Knowledge and/or experience on implementing Server High Availability, Clustering and Load Balancing for both Application and Database Servers
18. Knowledge and/or experience on Virtualization technology – HyperV and/or VMWare
19. Knowledge and/or experience on Cloud Computing and Management
20. Identify threats and work to create steps to defend against them
21. Perform vulnerability and penetration tests across all network segments
22. Monitor network traffic for suspicious behavior
23. Configure security systems such as firewalls, antivirus, and IDS/IPS software
24. Create network policies and authorization roles for file access
25. Analyze current security requirements and make suggestions for improvements
26. Define disaster recovery plans
27. Consult with staff, managers and executives on the best security practices
Minimum Qualifications
1. Must at least possess two (2) years of Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Studies, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or equivalent;
2. WITH atleast 3 years relevant experience is required,
3. Knowledge in Project Management is an advantage;
4. Willingness to travel and re-locate in the clients’ premise; and
5. Filipino Citizen or holds a relevant residence status.
