Job Description
As a Back-End Web Developer, the role is to develop all server-side logic, definition, and maintenance of databases, and ensuring high performance and responsiveness to front-end requests.
The candidate must have an understanding on data processing, data transformation, effective data storage and data preparation for big data analytics. An experience on Machine Learning algorithms is a plus.
- Act as Back End developer to contribute across the technology stack, from database to native apps
- Integrate with external and internal web services and interfaces
- Integration of front-end elements with server-side logic for both web and desktop and mobile backends
- Optimization of the server-side application for maximum speed and scalability
- Implementation of security and data protection
- Design and implementation of data storage solutions
- Create APIs through web services for front-end solutions to consume.
- Communicate with listed databases and implement business processes in the back-end codes.
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of computer science, computer engineering or similar technical fields
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience
- Proficiency in database schema design
- Good understanding of SQL databases and with experience at least one of the following databases: MySQL, SQLite, PostgresSQL, MongoDB, MSSQL, Oracle
- Proficient in implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, specifically Git
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming paradigm
- Experience with the following languages: Java, Javascript, Python, PHP
- Experience in security implementation in web such as HTTPS and others.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning skills
- Familiar with popular CMS (Drupal, WordPress) is a plus
- Experience of web developer (HTML, XML, CSS, JavaScript / JQuery) or related experience HTML5, CSS3 a plus
- Experience creating wireframes, user workflows, and prototypes
- Proficient in writing and utilizing RESTful API services and performance tuning large scale applications
- Able to prepare solid technical documentation (oral and written)
- Strong analytical and planning skills;
- Good communication and presentation skills;
- Excellent problem-solving skills;
