Job Description

Overall Purpose:

Achieve sales and profit objectives by growing assigned portfolio of accounts through efficient inventory & financial management, effective business & relationship building (competitive pricing and promotions), and excellent operational administration

Major Responsibilities and Deliverables:

A) Efficient Inventory and Financial Management

  • Maintains optimum inventory level by keeping the right reorder point and days supply at all times
  • Maintains optimum product assortment by keeping the right SKUs and SKU count
  • Fulfills expected Customer Service Level by working across the vendors’ as well as our own organization to streamline and strengthen the supply chain
  • Ensures optimal use of purchasing budget by investing on accounts and SKUs with highest returns possible
  • Maintain good credit standing by ensuring that all vendor unsettled balances, either receivables from or payables to, are settled on time / the soonest time possible

B) Excellent Operational Administration

  • Works across the vendors’ as well as our own organization, to ensure the successful execution and implementation of activities (ex. promotions), standard operating processes (ex. Vendor Transaction Procedure) and other initiatives (ex. new projects)
  • Provides relevant product and/or vendor information by ensuring the accuracy of information entered into and maintained by the system (ex. prices, discounts, rebates, shelf life, barcodes)
  • Exhibits fiscal discipline by providing and maintaining accurate, complete and timely documents / files / records / reports to facilitate Accounting procedures and ensures harmony of records with external parties
  • Meets all prescribed operational efficiency standards by ensuring that returns (bad orders, good stocks, phased outs) are retrieved the soonest time possible
  • Provides excellent customer service by ensuring that internal and external customers’ requests / inquiries / concerns are attended to promptly

C) Effective Business and Relationship-Building

  • Grows the business of all vendors’ under the assigned portfolio by identifying and implementing internal marketing and sales activities/programs to maximize current and new opportunities in the market
  • Keeps the vendor updated on business performance, trends, and results by conducting weekly / bi-monthly business reviews and regular promo evaluations
  • Builds and strengthens SSCC’s relationship and partnership with vendors by representing the company professionally in various vendor affairs
  • Ensure competitive advantage of all products in terms of price, promotions, deals and other marketing / sales efforts by collaborating with vendors

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate of any 4-year business course;
  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Willing to work full time in Binondo head office.
