Job Description

Sustansiya, a fast-growing agribusiness startup, is seeking two full time Logistics Managers to join our highly-motivated team (one based in central Luzon and one based in South Luzon). Sustansiya harvests poultry growers’ chickens and then cleans out their sheds in rapid time. As Logistics Manager, you will optimize the logistics planning and execution for our operations teams that provide services to poultry growers in either Central Luzon or South Luzon. We are seeking someone who has logistics planning or military experience. We have high expectations for our employees, and we look for you to continuously make an impact. You will have ample opportunity to grow as a professional while working closely with Sustansiya’s experienced management team composed of Philippines nationals and international expatriates.

Role and Responsibilities

The Logistics Manager will take a dynamic Middle Management leadership role as we scale up our services for poultry growers. You will actively pursue operations management in a fast-paced environment and be leading a key team within a mission-critical business line. This resource will oversee a number of Key Logistics Personnel, including Day and Night Shift Coordinators, Equipment Maintenance Manager, Food Procurement Assistant, and Drivers. The Logistics Manager will report to the Director of Operations.

Specific job responsibilities include the following:

  • Perform detailed needs assessments ahead of harvesting and manure removal services deployment.
  • Supervise Day Shift and Night Shift Coordinators that track process of harvesting and manure removal services.
  • Consistently track food procurement needs before and during services deployment.
  • Delegate plans to the Equipment Maintenance Manager to continuously re-engineer and improve services equipment.
  • Record data and reports on logistics needs.
  • Escalate high impact findings to Director of Operations.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in any equivalent course.
    • Graduate of Agriculture or related course is an advantage.
  • At least 3 years of work experience in logistics management, operations management, or related field.
  • Experience in logistics planning and operations of agriculture, poultry services, or construction is an advantage.
  • Preferably fluent in English, Tagalog, and Ilocano.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications.
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent people skills.
  • Comfortable working with people from different cultures.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Punctual and consistently meets deadlines
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Sustansiya.
  • Willing to travel across Central Luzon to Metro Manila and Calabarzon as needed
