Director of Operations | Poultry Client Operations  

Sustansiya, a fast-growing agribusiness startup, is seeking a Director of Operations to join our highly-motivated team. As Director of Operations, you will manage the entire poultry services operations of the company. We are seeking a Filipino resource who is strategically focused and has considerable senior leadership experience in services, animal health, and poultry related fields. We have high expectations for our management and our employees, and we look for you to lead a critically important business line for the company.

Role and Responsibilities

The Director of Operations is a senior manager position, with strategic operations oversight of Sustansiya’s entire poultry services business line as it achieves scale. This person will actively manage Sustansiya’s poultry services operations in multiple geographical locations, for both Central Luzon and South Luzon. This person will lead up to more than one hundred employees, staff, and contractors. The Director of Operations will primarily report to the CEO but also be accountable to the VP of Partner Engagement.

Specific job responsibilities include:

• Provide senior leadership to multiple operations teams in both Central Luzon and South Luzon.
• Develop operational planning for the company’s poultry services and providing executional oversight of middle management.
• Manage key Middle Management Personnel in the poultry operations business line, including Logistics Manager and Team Managers.
• Work with VP of Partner Engagement to ensure quality of service to contract growers and good relationship with poultry integrators.
• Serve as the point of escalation for on-field Team Managers, interacting directly with contract grower clients to resolve issues.
• Develop, measure, and report key performance indicator metrics that measure success of Sustansiya’s on-field services for Senior Management team, Investors, and Key Partners.
• Serve as part of the Senior Management team of the company.

• Only candidates with experience working in a poultry will be accepted and processed.
• Preferably with PhD, Master’s, or equivalent advanced degree in Veterinarian and Animal Science.
• At least 5 years of Senior Management or Operations Management experience.
• Experience in the following:
  • Entire poultry value chain.
  • Waste management, animal health, or related field.
  • Managing multiple services oriented teams or departments.
  • Strategic and operations related planning.
  • Developing key performance indicators.
  • Agriculture is an advantage.
• Prior employment with major Poultry Integrator an advantage.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and internet applications.
• Strong verbal communication skills.
• Excellent people skills.
• Comfortable interfacing directly with clients.
• Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to the mission of Sustansiya.
• Willing to travel across Central Luzon to Metro Manila and Calabarzon as needed.
• Preferably fluent in English, Tagalog, and Ilocano.
