Job Description

The successful candidate for this role has some prior small company/startup experience, has business development experience, and can lead a diverse and international sales team. Job duties will be varied. While focused on scaling a business development & sales department, the demands of a fast growing company mean that we need someone that is comfortable rolling up their sleeves. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop a strategic business plan for growing Sustansiya’s revenue which will include identifying and evaluating key sales opportunities via new business both domestic and international and upsell from existing clients; new products and services; creating a sound client target group; creating a plan of execution. Plan must include immediate phase for first year and an overall five‐year plan of growth and execution
  • Provide key direction and vision in order to consistently deliver quantifiable sales results and revenue
  • Pursue aggressive sales revenue and company profitability goals, both individually and for the company— this is a “hands‐on” job and you will lead by performance example
  • Strong leadership and management of sales staff: sales direction, team building; goal setting; Oversee quarterly account reviews to identify growth opportunities within existing business; review and implement action plans for achieving goals
  • Working with VP of Partner Engagement develop, secure and maintain customer relationships with key accounts
  • Working with the CEO identify new business opportunities outside of Sustansiya’s immediate service & product offering, preferably with companies that could have synergistic alignments with our existing client base
  • Develop internal marketing digital, and creative capabilities to develop sales and marketing strategies, platforms and materials that will help grow the business
  • Identify and attend key trade shows, conferences, speaking and networking events both domestically and internationally
  • Manage and oversight of individual Key account responsibilities for largest clients/corporate offices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • We look for exceptional people from a variety of academic fields and professions, including Engineering, Business Administration, Consulting, Finance and Law
  • Be a high achiever with a strong academic record from a top college or university with ideally an MBA, or business-related master's degree from a top business school (Top 20 business schools only and please include your GMAT score in your application)
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability. Irrespective of your degree or experience, you should excel at solving problems that require logical reasoning, creative thinking, comfort with numbers, and the ability to untangle complex issues
  • Demonstrated leadership within or outside a work setting. You should be someone who frequently takes initiative and is eager to break new ground— as seen through leadership roles
  • Demonstrated career trajectory— evidence of taking on larger responsibilities and/or more senior roles (even during your undergrad or first professional experience)
  • Other intrinsic skills such as strategic management perspective, strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly proficient skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Preferably, working knowledge of Salesforce and Asana
  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and follow-through are critical
  • Willingness to travel
