Prepare working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches, and notes for engineering and/or manufacturing purposes according to dimensional specifications. Uniformity of drawings is the key to the quality of the product.
The CAD Operator / Draftsman responsibilities include:
- Create preliminary and/or final sketch of proposed drawing, using computer-assisted design (CAD) equipment.
- Modify drawings as directed by Project Manager.
- Print and assemble drawings.
- Prepare drawings to be mailed.
- Additional duties as assigned by the Design Department Manager of Superior BT Inc.
Minimum Qualifications
- Experienced in drafting computer-aided design (CAD) systems to prepare drawings and blueprints.
- Mechanical ability and an aptitude for drawing and detail work
- Community colleges/Vocational and technical school of 2-year programs for drafters welcome.
- Strong attention to detail and drawing skills.
- Can complete an associate's degree and seek certification.
- Work closely under the supervision of engineers, architects or other professionals who need technical plans or drawings.
