Senior Facilities Engineer  

The position will act as overall Construction (Interior Office Fit-out) Project Manager and will guide the other Facilities Management Engineers in handling construction projects. He is also responsible in updating fit-out standards, specification digest and construction management guidelines for office space retrofitting/renovation to ensure timely and cost efficient project delivery.

In addition, the position administers and supervises all Facilities Management related activities within a specific locality to satisfy assigned user departments or unit’s facilities, area, furniture & furnishing, standard office equipment and service maintenance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Define and determine project objectives, scope, and schedules for new office fit-out or office renovation to suit Business Unit requirements.
• Approves all technical plans, design, material specification and work procedures for all office fit-out & renovation works following standard engineering procedures.
• Administer Interior office Fit-out Project Management Programming, Space planning, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Tender & Award, Contract Administration and Close-out phases of each project in coordination with Consultants and Contractors.
• Recommend canvass approval and handles acceptance of services/items for all office fit-out construction, furniture and equipment requirements,
• Review and recommend accreditation of all Interior Office Fit-out Contractors to ensure that all contractors are classified and accredited based on the type of services and resource capabilities following standard accreditation process and procedures.
• Provide fit-out standards, specification digest and construction management guidelines to all FM Engineers so that they are properly guided in handling office space retrofitting and renovations.
• Keeps current and updated on market trends for office furniture, facilities equipment, and material (finishes) specifications and recommend for possible upgrading.
• Outsource Management - Manages Facilities Management Outsource (i.e. Operations &Maintenance Contractors, Security, and Housekeeping) at assigned company premises by monitoring their service response and ensuring that regular review and evaluation are implemented to ensure compliance with agreed Service Agreements.
• Implement appropriate physical security measures and safety programs to safeguard office occupants & personnel from harm and to prevent unauthorized access, use, loss or theft of information and other assets, and ensure the safety of all occupants at assigned office facilities.
• Review and approve job orders, janitorial, security & air conditioning overtime services based on authority limits following standard procedures.
• Submit budget projections and monitor general office & maintenance expenditures at assigned areas to ensure that expenses are within approved budget.

• Requires a university degree in Engineering. Preferably licensed Electrical Engineer.
• Requires 5-years related experience on Construction(Interior Office Fit-out) Project Management
