Experienced Web Developer  

You will participate in all phases of the development life cycle—planning and strategy, coding, testing, and debugging— incorporating standards-based development processes, and implementing best practices for website and web/mobile applications.

• Write clean and secure codes to develop complex functional web applications using PHP and SQL in Laravel framework.
• Work with AngularJS, NodeJS, and other technologies to integrate server side logic with user-facing elements.
• Design, implement, maintain, and enhance existing data structures and storage to ensure high performance.
• Implement security, data protection, and secure API for web applications.
• Test, troubleshoot, and debug flaws within websites and applications, optimizing them to ensure maximum speed, optimal performance, and scalability.
• Liaise with Developers, Designers, and clients to identify new features and respond to requests.
• Research, evaluate, and address technical and design requirements.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Plan and implement model data structures for scalability.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.

• Bachelor’s degree in IT or a similar course.
• 2-4 years of experience developing, debugging, and deploying web sites or web applications.
• Object-oriented programming experience with modern development languages and concepts.
• Experience with all phases of the web application development lifecycle.
• Experience with version control system (VCS) tools.
• Magento, NetSuite, or SAP Anywhere experience is a big plus.
• Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills.
• Understanding of the following:
  • Asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX.
  • Multiple data integration, accessibility, and security compliance.
  • Basic Linux CLI commands.
  • Industry best practices to isolate weaknesses in a code base and optimize accordingly.
• Up-to-date knowledge of web usability and accessibility guidelines.
• Proficiency with database schemes, file handling, and task scheduling with Cron jobs.
• Excellent PHP/MySQL proficiency using both Laravel or CodeIgniter frameworks.
• Good English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Able to work day or night shift as may be required to fulfill our clients’ needs in our Gorordo area office in Cebu City.
• Strong attention to detail and organization.
