Job Description
As Front-End Web Developer, you will be responsible for developing, modifying, and implementing responsive and interactive web applications and custom user interfaces.
- Develop functional cross-browser cross-platform compatible solutions based on using a combination of markup language including HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript libraries.
- Implement AngularJS, ReactJS, jQuery, and other JavaScript frameworks and libraries to create rich interactive content.
- Execute responsible, consistent web design principles to ensure website renders beautifully across multiple devices.
- Collaborate with back-end developers to produce dynamic pages through integration with server-side code.
- Work with Web Designers to ensure high quality graphic standards and brand consistency.
- Discuss technical solutions as needed with clients to provide innovative solutions and promote usability best practices.
- Provide website maintenance and enhancements.
- Troubleshoot site usability problems.
- Contribute to writing functional requirement documents, specifications, and instructional.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
- Provide accurate timing estimates on work.
- Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines.
- Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies.
Minimum Qualifications
You will need to have a Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of experience developing, debugging, and deploying web sites or web applications. Good written and spoken English communication skills is an absolute MUST. You must also be able to work day or night shift as may be required to fulfill our clients’ needs in our Gorordo area office in Cebu City.
- Strong HTML5 and CSS3 experience and proficiency.
- Experience in CSS preprocessors SASS or LESS is a plus).
- Extensive experience with client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks or libraries, especially jQuery.
- Proficiency with AngularJS (preferred, or be a very fast learner).
- Strong CMS theming skills to develop functional WordPress or Magento web sites from Photoshop layouts.
- Front end frameworks (Foundation, Bootstrap) experience for responsive website development.
- Responsive web design expertise addressing cross-browser cross-platform compatibility issues.
- Experience with photoshop tools to perform minor image adjustments such as resizing or cropping.
- Solid grasp of SEO principles to ensure compliance marketability of deliverable.
- Solid understanding of web development process (design, development, browser debugging, and deployment).
- Good understanding of usability and appreciation for good user experience.
- Understanding of industry best practices to isolate weaknesses in code base and optimize accordingly.
- Experience with version control system (VCS) tools.
- Up-to-date knowledge with web usability and accessibility guidelines.
- Strong attention to detail and organization with strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
- Magento, NetSuite, or SAP Anywhere experience is a big plus (but not required).
