Payroll and Finance Officer  

We are looking for a dynamic Payroll & Finance Officer to join our growing team in SOPHI Outsourcing. You will work as part of a small team to support our Cebu site's payroll and finance department.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

Finance:

• Performs day-to-day bookkeeping, including credit/debit payments, cash flow, petty cash fund management, expenses, monthly bank reconciliation, an income and expenditure records.
• Maintains existing accounting system, ensuring transactions are properly recorded and entered.
• Maintains accounts payable and accounts receivable systems in order to ensure complete and accurate records of all funds.
• Process invoices and payments to vendors and providers. Helps review billings for variances; and developing improvements.
• Performs other related duties in relation to finance as required and assigned. - Administers bi-monthly payroll for employees in the Company.

Payroll and Benefits:

• Establish employee files in the computerized payroll system.
• Processes employee changes related to benefits, salaries, and taxes.
• Prepares and audits the Daily Time Record sheet.
• Manages and audits the time and attendance system for integrity.
• Enters monthly sales commissions and/or bonuses as part of payroll processing.
• Processes separate payrolls for yearly bonus programs including 13th month pay.
• Performs other related duties in relation to payroll and finance as required and assigned.

• Proven experience as a Payroll Officer of similar role
• Accounting background a plus
• Hands-on experience with HRIS and accounting software
• Strong math skills with an ability to spot numerical errors
• Good knowledge of labor law
• Time-management skills
• Ability to handble confidential information
• BSc in Accounting, Management, or relevant field
