What is expected from an Executive Founder?

You will take the lead in a company that we will build in partnership with our corporate investors, backed by our internal core team whose sole purpose would be to support you in your attempt to find product-market fit and eventually scale the startup

You will not be compelled to make a financial investment in the startup as you will be initially an industrial partner, receiving a salary and the full backing of Dragon’s Nest and our corporate investor. Your equity in the company will vest in time, as our goal would be for you to eventually own a piece of this company that we will build together.

Dragon’s Nest will be providing the essential administrative, technical, and training support to all of the five Executive Founders that will be part of Dragon’s Nest.

We are looking for candidates who will help us build technology startups that will impact the Southeast Asian region.

What is the Executive Founder Position?

We're on a search for five Executive Founders. As a chosen candidate, you will be part of a select group of entrepreneurs-in-residence who will be tasked to build technology startups from the ground up.

The executive founders will be part of the cast of the reality TV show The Venture Builder on CNN Philippines, as we document their journey from startup to scale up.

Think you've got what it takes to be an Executive Founder?

• A self-starter and problem solver, someone who has actually built something;
• The candidate must display a positive attitude and demeanor, has to be able to express itself orally and in writing effectively, and is good in sales and marketing. At some point you will pitch the company you will build to global investors;
• An entrepreneur who has had a strong track record and is searching for their next step
• A failed businessman who has the determination and the right mindset but failed for a variety of reasons (i.e. lack of funding, wrong partners, a business idea ahead of its time, etc.)
• A corporate superstar who has always wanted to become an entrepreneur, annoyed with big business bureaucracy, and can 'get things done.'
• Willing to undergo startup training abroad.

Who is not a suitable candidate for the position?

• Someone who sees the position as a stepping stone for other opportunities.
  • This is the opportunity, perhaps of your life.
• Someone who has always wanted to be on TV or in the limelight.
  • We are not looking to build someone’s showbiz career or personal brand. We are looking to build the next high-impact regional startup
• Anyone who has a current startup concept or solution they want to create.
  • We will not work on your idea because we will work on the problem statement / challenge / opportunity first before we jointly come up with an idea for a solution
• Someone with domain expertise in a particular technology/space.
  • We are not looking for an expert in something. We are looking for someone with a beginner’s mindset and is open to finding the solution, whatever it may be
