Job Description
Straightforward is looking for a junior merchandiser who is able to fuse fashion with operational efficiency. As a merchandiser, you have to make creative decisions based on data and trends. Straightforward’s design process is outside-in, so you must love drawing insights from observations and conversations. If you love your morning ritual of selecting the clothes to wear, then this job is meant for you. As a junior fashion merchandiser, you will:
- Handle the overall product direction of Straightforward and Shorts Market.
- Draw inspiration boards based on trends, data, and own intuition.
- Communicate with suppliers and maintain great working relationships with them.
- Assist the Head Merchandiser and Product Designer in buying initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a fashion, merchandising, or any retail-related field.
- Very passionate about fashion.
- Possesses great communication skills and relates very well to any kind of person.
- Must love working in groups, and is comfortable working in a start-up environment.
- Must have extensive knowledge in Excel. Knowledge in various design softwares is a huge plus.
- Possesses an entrepreneurial mindset.
- Already a fan of Straightforward or Shorts Market.
