The IT Specialist provides support to both internal users and clients. He/she keeps the company’s IT network, servers, and other systems in good health. He/she also investigates, resolves hardware and software issues, manages user access, manages assets (hardware & software), makes recommendations for systems improvement, and carries out day-to-day routine configurations and maintenance.
- User management and access control (via Active Directory, G Suite, and other software tools)
- Provide general support to company employees and clients.
- Identify, categorize, assign, and resolve ticket issues.
- Monitor and maintain the good health of all IT assets (computers, servers, routers, switches, software, cloud apps, etc.)
- Monitor and regulate the network usage, latency and identify ways to resolve issues related to networking.
- Develop and implement procedures in maintaining security and protect systems from unauthorized use, and user abuse.
- Provide solutions for incident problems and other system issues that may occur.
- Train users in service request forms and other how-to procedures and encourage self-help and automation in basic processes.
Minimum Qualifications
- At least 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- Has good organizational skills.
- Must have a good understanding of computers, printers, servers, network and peripherals.
- Experienced in administering Windows OS, Mac OS, and Linux
- Must have a good understanding of Microsoft Applications, Google Suite, Cloud Apps.
- Must have a good understanding of Active Directory, Firewall, Exchange Servers and Network protocols.
