Safety Officer | Part-Time  

The Safety Officer will oversee the effective and strict implementation of safety and health programs including those mandated safety and health requirements by the Department of

Labor and Employment (DOLE). He/she shall manage the daily functions of the office to ensure the protection of property assets, employees, guests, and property. Maintains logs, certifications, and documents required by law and Standard Operating Procedures.

Managing Security/Loss Prevention Operations. Trains staff in established emergency procedures and implements accident and fire prevention procedures. Position focuses on ensuring employee and client satisfaction while achieving the operating budget.

Detailed Description

• Ensure the legal requirement of occupational safety & health regulation (OSH) are complied with.
• Conducts regular safety audit including the inspection of facilities, equipment, safety devices, and work practices to ensure compliance with the required safety standards.
• Develops liaison with local law enforcement and emergency services.
• Record and investigates incidents to determine causes and provide analytical recommendations to prevent recurrence
• Communicates the importance of safety procedures, detailing procedure codes, ensuring employee understanding of safety codes, monitoring processes and procedures related to safety.
• Undertake other duties and responsibilities which may be assigned by the management from time and time.

Core Functions

• Develop, train others, enforce, and audit safety standards and regulations.
• Document safety policies, training, regulations, compliance, and adverse events.
• Conduct walkthroughs and formal audits to evaluate safety needs and policies.
• Monitor equipment moves and maintenance, and make changes to procedures.

• College Graduate/Bachelor’s Degree holder preferably in Engineering courses
• Must possess a BOSH/OSH training/certification from a government accredited institution
• With at least 5 years of work experience in auditing and implementing safety programs in a BPO company
• Excellent project management and decision-making skills
• Proficient in using MS Office tools
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Amenable to work in Pasig City, Mondays to Fridays, 9AM-6PM
