Job Description
1. Management Performance Areas
Planning
- Anticipates needs and concerns that may arise and comes up with remedial plans of action to address it and recommends to Business Systems Manager for review and approval; and,
- Programs the sequence and priority of action steps to be followed by his/her team in accordance with the department’s objectives/goals;
- Participates in the division’s annual planning workshop.
Leading
- Comes up with the decisions for the team based on conclusions and judgments necessary for the team to act within the limits set by the Business Systems Manager and AVP for Process and Quality Assurance;
- Develops and motivates the Jr./Business Systems Analysts to help them improve their competencies for higher productivity and career growth; and,
- Participates and makes recommendations to Manager Business Systems in the hiring of additional staff following the recruitment, selection and placement policies of the Company.
Organizing
- Determines and recommends the order of priorities as regards pending deliverables of the team in accordance with the timetable of the Department; and,
- Establishes work relationships and delegates tasks and authority to ensure cooperative efforts among staff.
Controlling
- Oversees team progress in accomplishing set goals/objectives and implements necessary action plans to address any discrepancy from the agreed deliverables and timelines;
- Assesses Jr./Business Systems Analysts’ work progress and actual performance based on established performance standards and indicators and submits the duly accomplished performance appraisal forms to the Business Systems Manager within the given deadline for further review and approval prior submission to Human Resources Division;
- Provides reports and submits the team’s accomplishments and performance on set deadlines; and,
- Oversees compliance of the Jr./Business Systems Analysts to Company policies, guidelines and procedures.
2. Project Management
- Plans, reviews, monitors and reports matters related to the organizational unit’s project;
- Enforces organizational unit’s compliance to Company’s standard processes in developing and implementing the project; and,
- Determines and implements such actions as may be required to achieve successful project completion.
3. Client Management
- Manages the expectations of clients by properly coordinating and discussing business requirements such as: negotiating project timelines and communicating project developments; and,
- Explains and convinces clients of approaches to address business requirements that will be consistent in achieving least cost, better flexibility, and system maintainability.
4. Resource Management
- Leads the team to accomplish the objectives of the unit; and,
- Assesses resource requirements versus availability of resources and initiates activities to address imbalance, if any. He/She takes full responsibility when performing project management functions.
5. Other Tasks
- Performs concurrently a specialized system development functions such as: business analysis, system design or programming;
- Performs other job related tasks that may be assigned by his/her superior from time to time;
- Comply to the required behavioral and grooming standards prescribed by the Company;
- Always demonstrate professionalism in the workplace;
- Always ensure compliance to company policies and procedures; and
- Performs other related duties that may be assigned from time to time.
Minimum Qualifications
- A graduate of Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering or any IT related course
- With at least 3 years of experience in Business Analysis
- Knowledge in System Development Life Cycle
- Background in Agile Project Management
- Excellent Written and Oral communication skills
