Job Description

Management Performance Areas

1. Planning

a. Estimates and predicts future conditions and events, and the needs and opportunities associated with the overall support services requirements of the Company;

b. Establishes the objectives/goals to be accomplished by the department;

c. Programs the sequence and priority of action steps to be followed;

d. Develops, enhances, reviews and installs field services systems, policies, guidelines and procedures;

e. Provides advice/consultation in matters related to site preparation prior to roll-out, and other Field Services- related concerns;

f. Conducts planning meeting with staff;

g. Manages risks related to field services management;

h. Provides directives and guidelines on budget preparation;

i. Prepares cost effective plans and program relative to technology upgrades;

j. Assesses new and emerging technologies relative to hardware and peripherals currently being utilized at LTO sites and identifies;

k. Develops contracting strategies, project scope, schedules, approval requirements, project budgets, quality and change controls;

l. Prepares and recommends strategies for continuous facilities maintenance;

m. Comes up with remedial plans of action when original plans do not materialize.

2. Leading

a. Comes up with decisions for the department based on conclusions and judgment necessary for the staff to act;

b. Recommends hiring of staff following the recruitment, selection and placement policies of the Company;

c. Develops and motivates staff to help them improve;

d. Spearheads or leads specific committees;

e. Attends, participates, contributes, interacts and recommends to VP on Field Services-related policies, issues and concerns;

f. Initiates and/or attends to various coordination meetings for consultations which require immediate actions, clarifications and resolutions of issues or resources;

g. Liaises, coordinates, and recommends the selection of 3rd party contractors;

h. Presides over departmental meeting meetings.

3. Organizing

a. Develops and recommends the department’s organization structure;

b. Determines and recommends the manning plan of the department and assigns individual responsibilities of subordinates; and,

c. Establishes work relationships and delegates authority.

4. Controlling

a. Assesses staff’s work progress and actual performance;

b. Manages deployment activities;

c. Manages the desired output, budget and performance of the site rehabilitation vendor;

d. Evaluates continuously the performance of 3rd party contractor for hardware maintenance;

e. Controls the resources of the department and oversees the utilities consumption;

f. Oversees the day to day activities of staff;

g. Provides reports, presents and submits the department’s accomplishments and performance;

h. Ensures the quality of newly rehabilitated site;

i. Oversees compliance of the department to Company policies, guidelines and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications

  • B.S. in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Civil Engineering, Architecture or any Engineering/IT related course
  • Licensure for Engineering / Architecture
  • At least 5 years of IT experience, 2 years of which should be in a managerial/professional capacity
  • Autocad
  • Windows Environment
  • Project management
  • Strong analytical and planning skills;
  • Good communication and presentation skills;
  • Excellent problem-solving skills;
  • (Engineer/Architect with IT experience)
